Barb, yes it does make a difference. After 20,000
km I added one after riding my wifes Virago with one. It makes the bike much more stable at highway speeds. Actually, it changes the whole dynamics of the ride. I hear much more engine noise and less exhaust noise. Its more smooth as it accelerates. I'm far more comfortable. And, the
gnats hit my helmet instead of my teeth.
